Overview
Amazon Pay Travel is a rapidly growing business with a 40%+ Year on Year increase over the last 3 years. We are searching for a technically strong engineering leader to expand our Amazon Pay Merchant Categories, including International Flights, Domestic Flights, Bus, and Train bookings.
Role and Impact
This role owns the end-to-end category covering marketing experience, pre-booking, and post-payment processes. As the Software Development Manager III, you will lead India’s first innovation in this domain with the potential to expand to other geographies.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full development life cycle and complex projects.
- Collaborate with product managers to develop strategy and road map.
- Work with senior engineers to design and develop new products.
- Establish best practices in software development and documentation.
- Handle project management, stakeholder coordination, and operational excellence.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- 3+ years managing engineering teams.
- 8+ years in multi-tier web services development.
- Strong understanding of engineering practices and the full development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication with technical teams and senior leadership.
- Proven experience in hiring and mentoring software engineers.
