About the Role

AMA - Alberta Motor Association is seeking an Analyst, Business Analysis to join its Finance team within Insurance Services. In this role, you will work with various teams at AMA to turn complex data into meaningful insights, guiding business decisions and supporting the organization’s objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Provide data-driven support for business decisions across AMA.
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends.
  • Develop and manage dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT to validate requirements.
  • Present findings and insights to leadership in a clear manner.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery.
  • Support the rollout of new business analytics tools and processes.

Who You Are

You are a curious, analytical thinker with strong communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaboration, and are detail-oriented. You have a background in business intelligence or analysis and experience with SQL and BI tools, preferably Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence or analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including advanced query skills.
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI or similar.
  • Familiarity with data languages such as Python or R (insurance industry experience is an asset).
