Job Description
About the Role
As a Security Cloud Engineer, you will support the implementation of the company’s Information Security Policy and help roll out security best practices across cloud environments. You will be involved in infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, automation initiatives, and security tooling — playing a critical role in protecting and optimizing cloud systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce and promote cloud security practices and policies proactively
- Support the build, deployment, and operational management of cloud platforms
- Drive security improvements across systems and environments
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and security-related issues
- Develop tools and automation to improve deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Scrum Masters in Agile teams
- Contribute to infrastructure innovation and continuous efficiency improvements
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of experience in SysOps, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
- Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Strong Linux systems knowledge
- Network & security fundamentals
- Scripting and automation experience
- Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
- Monitoring and performance management tools (e.g., New Relic)
- Experience with security tools (DAST/SAST, AWS Inspector, Intruder, PenTestTools)
- Experience with mitigation tools (AWS WAF, AWS Shield, Cloudflare)
- Comfortable working with Slack, Jira
- Experience in Agile environments
- Professional-level English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or Publishing environments
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
- Security certifications
- German or Spanish language skills
