Expert Systems Engineer - Networking

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Network Engineer with strong Azure networking expertise. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. You will mentor a technical team, troubleshoot complex issues, optimize network performance, and ensure security and compliance across hybrid architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain network devices and services across on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Implement and manage Azure networking components including vNETs, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups.
  • Perform maintenance, monitoring, and optimization to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols like BGP and OSPF in hybrid settings.
  • Manage and troubleshoot IPSec VPN tunnels between on-premises and Azure.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Terraform for consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams for integrated design and incident resolution.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 7–8 years of hands-on network engineering experience with a strong focus on Azure environments.
  • Experience implementing Azure networking solutions and troubleshooting complex network issues.
  • Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewalls, and VPN configurations.
  • Skilled in scripting/automation tools (Python, PowerShell, or Perl).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE and Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) are preferred.
