Job Description

As a Systems Engineer at ALTEN, you will play a vital role in developing systems that protect airborne platforms from RF-based threats. You will contribute to cutting-edge electronic warfare programmes, working on requirements-driven radar technologies, and design high-integrity systems critical to national defence.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and validate system-level requirements for radar and electronic systems
• Support design and development lifecycle ensuring traceability and compliance with defence standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, and integration
• Apply structured systems engineering methodologies within V-model frameworks
• Create and maintain technical documentation and traceability matrices
• Engage with stakeholders for technical alignment, risk management, and system performance

Qualifications & Skills

Required skills include a strong background in Electronics Engineering with experience in radar or RF-based systems, proficiency with requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama, and familiarity with MBSE, SysML, or UML techniques. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory.
