Job Description
As a Plant Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role by supporting the technical assessment and optimisation of energy systems within a high-profile nuclear programme. This role involves performance modelling, cost analysis, and systems engineering to ensure next-generation low-carbon energy solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant.
- Perform thermodynamic modelling and energy performance analysis of complex nuclear systems
- Support Levelised Cost of Energy calculations and carbon accounting
- Contribute to requirements management using tools like IBM DOORS
- Engage in system-level design integration and energy optimisation
- Collaborate with engineering, regulatory, and environmental teams
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Energy Systems, Physics, or similar. A strong technical foundation in thermodynamics, fluid systems, or industrial energy applications is required. Familiarity with IBM DOORS and knowledge of nuclear safety principles and design compliance is desirable.
