Job Description
DevOps OnPremise Engineer
ALTEN India is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer specializing in OnPremise solutions to enhance and maintain our clients' infrastructure. This role requires an individual who can adapt configurations to specific client needs, propose improvements in scalability, security, and performance, and serve as a proactive advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize existing OnPremise infrastructure.
- Assist the development team in resolving anomalies and technical roadblocks.
- Implement and enhance DevSecOps practices for integrated security.
- Ensure dependencies and security standards are consistently updated.
- Adapt configurations for alerting, dashboards, metric collection, logs, and traces.
- Propose and implement enhancements for scalability, security, and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, specifically with OnPremise infrastructures.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions in a Microsoft Azure environment.
- Experience with Podman for containerization.
- Skilled in using SonarQube, Git Guardian, and similar quality and security tools.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or/and MongoDB databases.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, including Bash, NFS, and SMB.
- Excellent English communication skills for liaising with international teams.
Nice To Have
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- Understanding of generative AI and tools like GitHub Copilot.
