Role Overview: Electrical Design Engineer
Join our high-impact engineering team in Derby as an Electrical Design Engineer, playing a key role in delivering innovative solutions for cutting-edge projects in the Nuclear sector.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage electrical load schedules and design modular HV and LV distribution systems.
- Design earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Develop electrical power system models.
- Complete design of the Electrical Systems Architecture, including sub-system design and equipment specification.

We seek Electrical Engineers who are passionate, results-oriented, and proactive. This role focuses strictly on design, not commissioning or maintenance. Candidates should be familiar with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic & electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, Navisworks).
- Knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
