Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates, helping shape the future of railway electrification by supporting the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) design team. You will assist in developing concept/basic design documentation, contribute to a 3D model library for OCS designs, and collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Site Construction Teams, and External Stakeholders.You will specifically support the OCS structural design team with mechanical calculations, liaise with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards, and ensure timely delivery.We’ll look to you for:
- Supporting the OCS design team to meet on-time design submission goals
- Developing Basic and Detailed design documents under your scope
- Providing support on OCS topics to System Engineering and BIM teams
- Respecting Engineering Management, Design Quality, and Interface Management plans
- Ensuring compliance with normative references and local standards
- Coordinating with stakeholders across locations (Toronto, France, Italy) and departments
- Undertaking 3D modelling activities to support OCS design development

We value passion and attitude over experience. The following skills will help you succeed and grow in this role:- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of Canadian standards and common practices
- First understanding of Railway Electrification subsystems
- Familiarity with AutoDesk software and other modelling tools
- A desire to pursue a Professional Engineer designation (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
- Fluency in English (a second language is appreciated)
