We are seeking a full-time onsite Human Resources Business Partner.

Your Future Role as a Human Resources Business Partner

Embark on a new challenge and apply your Human Resources expertise in a cutting-edge field. You will collaborate with dynamic teammates, shaping and deploying business goals, driving organizational effectiveness, and building strong teams across the Value Chain. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with various business functions including Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Business Leaders, while supporting leadership development initiatives and much more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current organizational capabilities to deliver the business strategy and identify gaps versus required capabilities.
  • Support change programs, organizational effectiveness, development, and foster a high-performance culture, including bids and project support.
  • Ensure the right talent is in the right place at the right time by coaching leaders on talent-related tools, supporting talent reviews, and mobilizing high potentials.
  • Support talent reviews, competency assessments, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Act as a lead for mobilizing a new site, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to effectively onboard employees for a new contract/customer.
  • Administer FLSA testing and review qualifications with job descriptions for all positions.
  • Partner with Business Leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Support leadership development initiatives to help build resilient and adaptable teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

What We Look For

While passion and attitude are highly valued, the following skills and experiences will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of resolving complex employee relations issues and labor relations activities, including grievance handling and communication with union representatives.
  • Knowledge of HR and People Strategies, People Management, and experience in a unionized environment.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA, and Railway Labor Act (an asset).
  • Human Resources Professional Certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to analyze organizational capabilities and identify gaps to support business strategy.
  • Skills in coaching leaders, talent reviews, and succession planning.
  • Experience in leadership development and fostering high-performance cultures.
