We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Battery & Charger Service Technician to support our growing presence in St. Louis and the surrounding Missouri area.

Role Overview

This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of forklift batteries, industrial batteries, motive power systems, and battery chargers used in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and service forklift batteries, industrial batteries, and battery charger systems at customer facilities throughout St. Louis
  • Perform preventive maintenance, watering, inspections, and testing of motive power battery systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial battery chargers, including single-phase and three-phase systems
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues with electric forklift battery systems
  • Conduct voltage testing, load testing, and capacity checks
  • Replace connectors, cables, and damaged battery components
  • Support warehouse and manufacturing customers with battery best practices
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly
  • Daily local travel within the St. Louis region

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience working with forklift batteries, industrial batteries, or motive power systems preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Familiarity with battery charging systems and DC power equipment
  • Comfortable working in warehouse and industrial environments
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy batteries and work safely around industrial equipment

Preferred Experience

  • Experience servicing lead-acid forklift batteries, lithium-ion batteries, or industrial battery chargers
  • Background in material handling equipment or forklift dealerships
  • Field service technician experience
