Overview

The Design Director – Architecture and Store Design, UK/Europe at ALO Yoga is the first Store Design employee in Europe. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support design initiatives across the UK and Europe and leads the architectural design process for company-owned projects.

Job Requirements

• Lead development and management of 10-15 projects per year.
• Develop resources and partnerships in new and existing markets.
• Coordinate between internal departments for all UK/European projects.
• Manage internal and external teams ensuring timely execution.
• Develop project specific details and specifications.
• Oversee consultants to meet Alo brand and quality standards.
• Ensure designs meet brand standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Lead landlord communications regarding design guidelines and approvals.
• Assist with real estate queries and lease negotiations.
• Provide site analysis and test fits for potential locations.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for design conformance.
• Provide on-site observations throughout projects.
• Partner with Construction on project closeout and punchlist.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Extensive architectural design experience in the UK and Europe.
• 15-20 years of design/project management experience.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strategic thinking to align designs with company goals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of real estate and construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup/3D modeling, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft tools.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
