About Allstate

At Allstate, great things happen when our people work together to protect families and their belongings from life’s uncertainties. For over 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers’ evolving needs, from advocating for seat belts and airbags to being an industry leader in telematics, device, and identity protection.

Join Our Team as a Senior Managing Counsel, Technology and AI!

We are seeking a creative, high-energy attorney passionate about the intersection of law, business, technology, and data. In this remote role, you will join the Business Law division of Allstate’s Law and Regulation department, providing strategic and practical legal counsel to Allstate’s technology organization and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives in technology, privacy, and artificial intelligence.

As a recognized senior subject matter expert and trusted business partner, you will leverage advanced business acumen to guide the development of new products—including both regulated and non-insurance offerings—as well as innovative technology initiatives and emerging technologies. This role requires a collaborative, cross-functional approach to drive effective outcomes and shape the future of technology and AI at Allstate.

Get ready to make an impact and shape the future of technology and AI at Allstate!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time, business-focused legal advice on emerging business issues, risks, and initiatives in technology, insurance regulation, privacy, artificial intelligence, and consumer protection.

  • Understand the dynamics of working within a highly regulated environment, including interactions with business partners, technology, compliance, risk, and government relations.
  • Execute on goals and objectives through ambiguity and in a changing business and legal landscape.
  • Assist in building a culture of constructive debate and conversations with a virtual team.

A Typical Day Might Include:

  • 10+ years legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on technology and emerging businesses.
  • Strong experience in insurance regulation, privacy, technology, and artificial intelligence.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, cybersecurity, and/or other highly regulated industries.
  • Advanced experience advising technology teams.
