About the Role
In the Quantum Algorithm Developer Expert role, you will be instrumental in developing and evaluating quantum computing algorithmic solutions for problems with future potential in the insurance industry. A significant part of your work will also involve bootstrapping classical-compute solutions that can deliver early business value and serve as precursors to later quantum implementations. Your contributions will span the entire lifecycle, from problem curation to estimating the potential benefits of scaled-up quantum solutions based on small-scale experimental evidence. You will also actively contribute to collaborations with external partners across industry and academia.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within the team and with external partners to review results and justify chosen algorithmic solutions.
- Contribute significantly to quantum computing algorithm development and technical exploration.
- Identify, research, and implement key advancements in relevant areas of quantum computing.
- Analyze algorithm performance through simulations on classical hardware and experiments on diverse quantum hardware.
- Develop and implement classical-compute reference solutions to deliver early business value.
- Distill scaling properties of algorithm candidates and evaluate their potential for quantum advantage.
- Curate exemplary problems relevant to the insurance sector with significant quantum advantage potential.
- Apply, adapt, and derive algorithms to solve these curated problems.
Experience
7 or more years of professional experience is preferred for this role.
