Job Overview
As a Liability Determination Adjuster, you will assist customers following single or multi-vehicle auto losses. Your role involves communicating with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, and contractors using phone, email, text, and sometimes video chat. You will perform detailed investigations, assess claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure accurate claim documentation using established processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Expert: Live into Allstate’s Claims Culture by being compassionate and clear.
- Investigator: Independently evaluate liability claims and interpret policies.
- Effective Communicator: Engage customers and update them on claim progress through various channels.
- Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements following legal and business standards.
- Problem Solver & Recorder: Use tools for quick resolutions and ensure timely documentation.
Licensing & Sign-On Bonus
You may be required to obtain an adjuster’s license within 60 days of hire. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for active licenses in TX, FL, or your resident state. Note that current or former Allstate employees seeking rehire are not eligible.
Work Location & Requirements
This is a remote home-based position. Your home office in the United States must have a dedicated workspace, minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up, and appropriate work furniture. Note: This position is not available for residents of California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation ranges from $22.84 to $26.45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Allstate offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, pension and 401(k) plans, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.
