Role Purpose
The purpose of this Product Consultant role is to develop and drive solutions forward that allow our organization to reach its goals by partnering with technology, business stakeholders, and user experience. You will serve as the key bridge between business and technology stakeholders to both uncover and drive change. This position requires someone who can evaluate and uncover current opportunities, influence and lead the strategic development of a solution, and drive its development and implementation alongside our tech, business, and user experience partners. This role demands an individual who is comfortable working in ambiguity, can think strategically, is extremely collaborative, and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of how things are done today.
The incumbent is responsible for leading and delivering complex Rating initiatives as part of a Business Architecture team. The role provides strategic oversight of large-scale modernization, policy, and technology transformation initiatives. This position ensures effective workload distribution, operational continuity, and risk mitigation across the portfolio while supporting organizational priorities and sustainable delivery.

Accountabilities
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications and guiding the implementation of initiatives, operating at the capability-level, in support of broader platforms.
- Developing functional systems flow to ensure the efficacy of new capabilities.
- Guiding the implementation of initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to align business strategies with technology solutions, and working with other product owners to ensure integration between capabilities within a platform.
- Performing business validations of technical work.
- Using customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy and iterations.
- Engaging in discovery/test and learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and capability or solution direction to achieve business results.
- Leading discovery and framing sessions to define business problems, root causes, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and Digital Product Managers (DPMs) to align business strategies with technology solutions and ensure successful integration.
- Developing and maintaining business architecture frameworks including capability models, process workflows, and value streams.
- Supporting business readiness activities including stakeholder communications, training, and change enablement.
- Participating in demos and providing business context to ensure solutions meet user needs and deliver intended outcomes.
- Tracking and reporting on KPIs and benefit realization to validate solution effectiveness and inform future improvements.
- Engaging with ATS teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery timelines for strategic initiatives.
- Contributing to business process optimization and solution design to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications/Skills
- Education: University diploma in Business, Finance, Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in insurance across underwriting, distribution, product, operations, or transformation; hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter) strongly preferred.

- Process Improvements: Lean process design; automation opportunities; measurable outcome improvements.
