What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will partner with our Staff Engineer and key leaders to:
- Build a scalable, future-proof data ecosystem.
- Unify and scale data infrastructure across business functions.
- Leverage emerging data engineering technologies.
- Create a low-friction, self-service data experience.
- Shape data governance ensuring security, compliance, and quality.
- Mentor engineers and establish the data platform team.
Your Day-to-Day
You will design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines for real-time, streaming, and batch workloads. You will create a centralized data platform for faster analytics, optimize performance and costs, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives. Additionally, you will develop observability frameworks, define success metrics, and act as a technical mentor by advocating best-in-class engineering practices.
Who We’re Looking For
You are a builder with deep experience in designing and scaling data platforms. With over 8 years in software engineering focused on data, you can manage massive data volumes, design ETL/ELT flows, and set up data governance practices. You thrive in startup environments, exhibit strong cross-functional collaboration, and have a product-focused mindset.
Nice to Have
Experience designing self-service data platforms, familiarity with event-driven architectures and data streaming technologies, and a discerning view on build vs buy choices.

You will work in a hybrid environment with scheduled office days in Union Square, Manhattan.
