About the Role
The Interim Investment Director at Allied Talent Partners is a key leadership position contributing to the launch of a new green infrastructure project development fund. This role focuses on originating, structuring, and executing investment opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable urban development, and climate resilience across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deal origination, structure negotiations, and project execution within a USD 3–15 million range.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of investment-ready projects.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, developers, and governments to advance projects to bankability.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership; mentor junior professionals.
- Support capital-raising activities and investor due diligence processes.
- Help establish internal investment systems, processes, and governance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should have 12–15 years’ experience in project finance, infrastructure investments or project development with a background in power, transport, or renewable energy sectors. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record in complex transaction origination and closures, along with excellent financial modeling and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English is required, and French is an added asset.
Additional Information
This is a 6-month interim role (with potential for extension) in a fully remote, location-flexible setup. Occasional travel within Africa is expected for project engagements. The position offers a high-caliber, immediate opportunity to shape the early phase of a green infrastructure fund.
