Department Overview

This role is within the expanding second line Compliance Department, part of the Financial Crime Compliance management team, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance.

Role Description

As the Financial Crime Data Intelligence and Reporting Manager, you will analyze the Bank’s exposure to Money Laundering, Fraud, Terrorist Financing, Proliferation Financing, Bribery and Corruption, and Financial Sanctions typologies. You will enhance financial crime monitoring and screening tools, support the evolution of the Bank Wide Risk Assessment (BWRA), and report key metrics to the Bank Governance Committees.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Creating and reviewing Management Information and Key Risk Indicators.
  • Evolving the Bank Wide Risk Assessment (BWRA).
  • Assisting with complex Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) investigations.
  • Upskilling 1LOD teams on SAR investigations and open-source intelligence.
  • Enhancing financial crime monitoring systems and data reporting processes.
  • Overseeing transaction monitoring rules and system configurations.
  • Supporting product developments and data enhancements for governance committees.
  • Conducting ongoing risk assessments and ensuring accurate management information.

Personal Attributes & Experience

Minimum 5 years in financial services with expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, investigations, and ABC processes. Experience in business banking for SMEs and sole traders is required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of UK AML, CTF, and sanctions regulations, be proficient in data analysis, and have a meticulous approach to reviewing policies and compliance processes.
