Job Description

What You Will Do as a Quantitative Data Engineer

As a Quantitative Data Engineer at Allianz Global Investors, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Systematic Equity Team’s data strategy. Your responsibilities will include proactively designing, implementing, and continuously improving data processing workflows for large and complex equity market, fundamental, and alternative data sources within a quantitative equity investment context. Your work will involve designing and operating workflows that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, including compliance with internal data governance standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. You will build robust, scalable, production-ready applications, owning the full lifecycle from design through deployment and ongoing operation in a production-grade investment environment. Additionally, you will support and enable the production deployment of research data pipelines into live equity trading or portfolio management systems, and maintain metadata, data lineage, and technical documentation to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and auditability.
