Job Description

Technical Project Manager at Alliants

Join us as a Technical Project Manager in our growing Data Division team! 🚀

Role Details

  • Title: Technical Project Manager
  • Location: Remote — Canada (EST working hours)
  • Compensation: 100,000–125,000 CAD annualized
  • Contract: Full-time 12mth fixed-term
  • Travel: Regular travel aligned to delivery milestones, including Washington DC and Greater Toronto Area

At Alliants, we're on a mission to transform every customer engagement into something exceptional. We believe in working smart together to push the boundaries of company culture and create future-proof customer experiences.

Our Services organization plays a critical role in executing complex, client-facing initiatives while supporting the evolution of our platforms and delivery models.

Role Focus & Operating Context

This is a senior Technical Project Manager role within the Services organization, created to bring dedicated, end-to-end delivery ownership to a high-visibility, complex client program.

The role operates across multiple concurrent, client-facing initiatives, balancing hands-on delivery execution with transformation objectives. The Technical Project Manager is accountable for structuring delivery, shaping work, and driving execution predictably—without destabilizing live services.

This is not a coordination or status-tracking role. Success requires strong delivery judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to operate autonomously in fast-moving, client-driven environments.

What you’ll work on and own

  • End-to-end delivery ownership across multiple concurrent, client-facing technical initiatives
  • Program and project structure, including epics, milestones, sequencing, and delivery phases
  • Cross-project prioritization, dependency management, and execution cadence
  • Translation of business and client requirements into executable delivery plans and technical work items
  • Delivery risk identification, escalation paths, and mitigation planning
  • Execution of transformation initiatives while maintaining stability in live service environments
  • Delivery reporting, dashboards, and visibility across workstreams, resourcing, and burn

Job Requirements: What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years of experience in technical project or delivery management roles
  • Proven experience owning delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, client-facing programs
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or platform modernization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of modern software delivery lifecycles in cloud-based, distributed environments

To thrive in this role, you’ll be someone who:

  • Takes full ownership of delivery outcomes across complex initiatives, not just coordination or status tracking
  • Is comfortable operating autonomously, setting direction and driving execution without constant oversight
  • Can balance near-term execution pressure with longer-term transformation and delivery objectives
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including in client-facing environments
  • Remains calm, pragmatic, and decisive when navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and delivery pressure

Job Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of concurrent, client-facing technical initiatives across multiple geographies
  • Plan, prioritise, and sequence work across initiatives, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery trade-offs
  • Act as the primary delivery owner, accountable for timelines, outcomes, quality, and client commitments
  • Drive execution within live service environments while supporting transformation initiatives (platform, process, or delivery model evolution)
  • Translate business and client requirements into clear delivery plans, milestones, and well-shaped technical work items
  • Identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks proactively before they impact timelines, service quality, or client trust
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and external partners
  • Lead delivery ceremonies and checkpoints appropriate to the engagement (Agile or hybrid), focusing on outcomes over process
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, providing clear, structured updates on progress, risks, decisions, and mitigation plans
