The Role of a Technical Consultant II

The Technical Consultant II is primarily responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and execution of Alkami’s software products. You will be part of a talented team implementing complex enterprise banking software solutions in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. This role requires a background in financial software and experience working with Credit Union cores.

The environment is .NET with a SQL backend, and projects involve integration with third-party vendors and proprietary credit union/bank host systems. Building strong professional relationships with clients is crucial. Additionally, the individual will provide technical leadership and project coordination, driving technical challenges to completion collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Meet with clients, in-person and virtually, to define solution dependencies and transform business practices in accordance with software design.
• Identify technical challenges and provide improvement recommendations, focusing on client satisfaction and efficiency for Alkami’s FinTech multi-tenant model and in-house clients.
• Conduct application demonstration and discovery sessions to refine business and technical software requirements post-contract execution.
• Anticipate and escalate project, business, and technical issues to appropriate resources, actively participating in their resolution.
• Work directly with third-party vendors to resolve integration and design issues with various external systems.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Configuration, and PM resources to resolve complex technical integrations related to ongoing projects.
• Provide technical support to dedicated Support resources for system and environment upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Share guidance, knowledge, skills, and experiences with team members, offer technical leadership, and update the internally-maintained knowledge repository.
• Provide supplemental technical support when primary responsible individuals are unavailable.
• Audit client environments and oversee the launch of Alkami products and solutions.
• Create and manage documentation and toolsets for the scalability of the Technical Consulting organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical background and experience.
• 3+ years of customer-facing, client interaction skills and experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with credit union cores such as Keystone Corelation, Fiserv DNA, or JackHenry Symitar.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Desired Skills

• Financial services software development and design experience, specifically core and third-party integration.
• Working knowledge of SQL server, Microsoft C#, and ASP.NET.
• General knowledge of Internet routing and related protocols.
• General knowledge of Firewall operations as they relate to Internet connectivity.
• Previous experience in designing and/or implementing systems with a focus on scalability and high-availability.
• Experience in commercial banking, treasury, payments, or cash management.
