About The Role

Alignerr is seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer with practical experience in YAML configurations to manage structured data workflows and system integrations. This role demands precision, consistency, and clear logical reasoning, making it ideal for engineers who thrive on working with configurations, schemas, and system logic.

What You’ll Do as a Software Engineer

• Author, review, and maintain YAML files essential for configuration, data pipelines, and system definitions.
• Ensure YAML structures are accurate, well-organized, and comply with all required schemas.
• Identify and resolve formatting issues, logical inconsistencies, or edge cases within configuration files.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and researchers to maintain reliable system behavior and high data quality.
• Apply meticulous attention to detail to prevent errors that could negatively impact downstream systems.

Who You Are

• You have 1+ year of professional Software Engineering experience.
• You are comfortable working with YAML in real-world production or data-driven environments.
• You are highly detail-oriented, with a strong ability to spot subtle errors or inconsistencies.
• You are familiar with version control workflows, such as Git, and structured engineering processes.
• You are able to work independently and adhere to precise technical requirements.

Nice to Have

• Experience with configuration-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure tooling.
• Exposure to schema validation, linting, or structured data formats like JSON or XML.
• Prior experience supporting AI, data, or automation workflows.
