About the Postsecondary Economics Teacher for AI Training Role
Alignerr is seeking experienced postsecondary Economics instructors to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in evaluating and enhancing AI systems designed to reason and explain economic concepts.
This is a remote, hourly/task-based contract position offering competitive compensation and flexible work arrangements.
What You'll Do
- Design and review complex economics questions and scenarios that will be used to effectively train and evaluate advanced AI systems.
- Assess the accuracy, clarity, and depth of AI-generated content pertaining to various economic topics.
- Provide structured, detailed feedback to guide improvements in AI's economic reasoning and overall model outputs.
- Apply your real-world postsecondary teaching experience to validate economic concepts and identify challenging edge cases for AI.
- Work independently and asynchronously, managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines and contribute to significant AI advancements.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- 3+ years of full-time experience teaching economics at the postsecondary academic level.
- A strong command and deep understanding of core economics topics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and various applied economics fields.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly explain and critically evaluate economic reasoning in a precise written format.
- Comfortable reviewing structured content and providing detailed, constructive feedback.
Nice to Have
- Master’s or PhD degree in Economics.
- Prior experience grading or evaluating academic work at scale.
- A background in applied, policy, or data-driven economics.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), or content evaluation workflows.
