This is a remote contract opportunity ideal for PhDs (pursuing or completed) in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. You'll work on cutting-edge projects with top AI labs while earning competitive compensation ($40–$60/hour), fully remote, with flexible weekly hours (10-40 hours/week). No prior AI experience is required.

In this role, you’ll help fine-tune large language models (like ChatGPT) using your math and analytical skills. You’ll design problems, check how well AI solves them, and work with researchers to build better benchmarks.

What You’ll Do

• Design advanced math problems to test AI performance (e.g., multi-step reasoning, abstraction, symbolic manipulation).
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic.
• Evaluate AI outputs meticulously for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
• Collaborate effectively with leading researchers to refine benchmarks across a spectrum of math topics, ranging from undergraduate to PhD-level.

Requirements

• PhD (pursuing or completed) in Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated strong mathematical reasoning and advanced problem-solving skills across complex domains.
• Exceptional ability to communicate intricate ideas clearly and concisely in writing, and provide structured, actionable feedback.
• No prior AI experience is necessary for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation systems is a plus.
