In this role as the Environmental Engineering AI Data Trainer, you will challenge advanced language models on topics such as water and wastewater treatment, air quality management, EHS and compliance, and solid and hazardous waste management by documenting every failure mode to improve model reasoning.
Organization & Position Details
Organization: Alignerr Position: Environmental Engineering AI Data Trainer Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $35–$60 /hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
- Design complex environmental engineering problems across various domains.
- Create rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions for environmental processes.
- Audit AI-generated remediation plans for technical accuracy and safety compliance.
- Identify and refine logical fallacies in AI reasoning with structured feedback.
Requirements
- Advanced Degree (Masters or PhD) in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- Strong foundational knowledge in aquatic chemistry, wastewater process design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation.
- Excellent analytical writing and attention to detail, especially in unit conversions and regulatory logic.
- No prior AI experience required.
Preferred
- Experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with environmental modeling software.
