About the role
Data Science Expert AI Content Specialist
About The Role
What if your deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data engineering could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems think and reason?
We're looking for Data Science Experts to join Alignerr's network of specialists who train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. You'll design challenging problems, write rigorous solutions, and audit AI-generated outputs — helping push the frontier of what AI can reliably do with data science.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced data scientists who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Advanced Challenges: Craft complex data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more — stress-testing AI reasoning at its limits
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions — including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations — that serve as authoritative benchmarks for AI training
- Audit AI-Generated Code: Evaluate AI outputs using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, assessing code correctness, efficiency, and best practices
- Refine AI Reasoning: Identify logical flaws in AI outputs — such as data leakage, overfitting, or mishandling of imbalanced datasets — and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model reliability
Who You Are
- Advanced Degree: Master's (pursuing or completed) or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field with a strong data analysis focus
- Domain Expertise: Solid grounding in supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP
- Technical Communicator: Able to explain complex algorithmic concepts and statistical results clearly and precisely in written form
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous when reviewing code syntax, mathematical notation, and the validity of statistical conclusions
- No prior AI industry experience required — your subject-matter expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI evaluation systems
- Familiarity with production-level data science workflows, including MLOps or CI/CD pipelines for models
