The Business Analyst Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to lead and mentor a team of analysts responsible for creating business-focused content that refines AI models. This role requires a blend of leadership, quality assurance, and subject matter expertise in MBA-relevant domains. You will ensure that all outputs are accurate, logically sound, and perfectly aligned with project objectives. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about people management, operational excellence, and the creation of top-tier analytical content. No prior AI experience is necessary.

This is an hourly contract position with Alignerr, offering competitive compensation and flexible remote work arrangements. We expect a commitment of 10-40 hours per week.

What You'll Do as a Business Analyst

• Collaborate with and mentor a team of Business Analysts and Content Specialists.
• Strategically allocate tasks, oversee workflows, and guarantee timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Conduct thorough QA reviews, continuously refine processes, and enhance team efficiency.
• Provide impactful performance feedback, facilitate comprehensive training, and support career development for team members.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring regular and transparent project updates.
• Guide the creation of compelling case studies, realistic scenarios, and structured business content across various domains such as finance, policy, and e-commerce.

Requirements for a Business Analyst

• Bachelor's degree or undergraduate in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related field. We also welcome candidates with relevant experience in these areas, even without a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven team management experience.
• 3–6 years of professional experience in business analysis, consulting, content creation, or domain-focused project management.
• Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical capabilities.
• Feedback Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
• Creative Thinking: Possess creative and lateral thinking abilities.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• No prior AI experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or undergraduate in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation systems.
• Bonus: Experience in case study writing or academic/research content creation.
