Position: AI Language Expert French
This is an hourly contractor position focused on leveraging your linguistic expertise to enhance AI models.
Role Details
- Type: Hourly contractor
- Compensation: $25–$30/hour
- Location: Remote
Commitment & Schedule
- Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week
- Schedule: Fully asynchronous, work on your own time
- Start Date: Rolling — applications reviewed as projects launch
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
- Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+.
- Apply expert judgment to identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps.
- Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.
- Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Native-level proficiency in French.
- Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
- Fluency in English (C1/C2).
- Familiarity with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks.
- Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing.
- Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology.
- Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows.
