IT Analyst Web Application Developer
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a passionate IT Analyst 1 - Web Application Developer/Analyst to join their IT Web Presence & Collaboration Services team. This role involves actively participating in the development and support of new and emerging web applications, which may operate independently or integrate with other technical tools and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for web-based application development and supporting Content Management Systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with business units to identify and analyze business needs across various AHS functions and developing web-based solutions to meet these requirements.
- Resolving minor to moderate issues encountered in custom-built solutions or off-the-shelf applications.
- Developing and supporting Enterprise Content Management Systems, specifically MS SharePoint 2016/2019 and OpenText RedDot.
- Engaging in ASP.NET Web Application Development using C# and/or VB.NET, and WebAPI.
- Performing client-side responsive web development using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Participating in design and testing phases as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of web application development experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with enterprise-class Content Management Systems such as Microsoft SharePoint 2016/2019.
- Strong understanding of current web trends and technologies.
- Good working knowledge of web front-end design.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

- Strong acumen for ASP.NET development.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Intimate knowledge of the Application Development Life Cycle (ADLC).
