Medical Lead - Telemedicine
Our Health Professionals team embeds clinical expertise across Alan's integrated model to deliver innovative healthcare services with quality, efficiency, and compelling differentiation. We're scaling Alan's telemedicine offering to become a cornerstone of our integrated model - teleconsultations, medical chat, and AI agents working together to deliver exceptional care. You'll grow and lead our team of 50+ health professionals - General Practitioners (GPs), medical specialists, nutritionists, midwives, physiotherapists - across multiple telemedicine offerings and geographies. You will define clinical practices that balance excellence with effectiveness for optimal patient experience, embedding value-based healthcare principles throughout. Day to day, you will collaborate with a dedicated Ops team to monitor and drive excellence of those health services.
The Challenges
Lead and develop the team
- Scale and lead a remote-first team - recruit, onboard, and manage 50+ health professionals (primarily GPs), across geographies, fostering engagement around shared outcomes and integrated care.
- Establish a feedback culture - shape a medical team where professionals embrace peer feedback and case reviews for continuous improvement, in a supportive and benevolent environment.
- Establish medical governance and ensure quality & safety - set up clinical committees, case reviews, and incident management. Develop protocols aligned with national guidelines and Alan member first mindset, define appropriate teleconsultation use cases, ensure compliance.
Monitor and improve clinical practice
- Define clinical practices for integrated care - create telemedicine guidelines that optimize medical quality, patient experience, and cost-effectiveness across the care pathway.
- Drive outcomes that matter - establish metrics beyond process indicators: health impact, member experience, cost-effectiveness, and specific clinical patterns and contribute to their monitoring and analysis.
Contribute to shaping tomorrow's care
- Shape AI-augmented practice - collaborate with product teams to integrate AI effectively into clinical workflows
- Inform care navigation development within Alan - bring clinical expertise to guide patients toward optimal prevention and care pathways across Alan Clinic and external providers
