Role Summary: Senior Technical Solutions Architect, APJ Cloud

Do you enjoy designing and building public cloud solutions for customers? Do you enjoy working with a diverse multi-national team of engineering talents? Join the Technical Solutions Architect team to shape the future of the internet.

You'll play an integral part of the sales lifecycle and support Pre-Sales by defining Cloud solutions as a technology specialist. You will guide customers through strategic and technical aspects of Cloud transformation to drive services consumption, becoming a thought-leader in cloud computing both outside and within Akamai.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving new cloud customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales, collaborating with sales on technical aspects.
• Driving customer success and continuous consumption of Akamai's cloud, as part of the integrated account team.
• Leading solution and product innovation initiatives.
• Evangelizing APJ use cases/technologies and influencing the product roadmap with product managers.
• Building technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing to support overall Akamai APJ business growth.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this Senior Technical Solutions Architect, APJ Cloud role, you will need:

• 7 years of professional experience including 5 years in a customer facing technical role with a cloud/hosting firm.
• Demonstrated successful experience in architecting IaaS solutions and professional level certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF.
• Demonstrated hands-on skills in three or more domains: Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming or media streaming tech stack.
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on skills in open source software including: Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including communicating complex technical content to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cloud professional service delivery experience is ideal.
