About the Role

Do you enjoy problem-solving and implementing solutions? Do you enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment? Join our cutting-edge Identity & Access Management Team at Akamai Technologies. This team is responsible for maintaining security, reliability and high-availability of our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), along with other identity, authentication, and authorization services.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be developing, maintaining, and enhancing systems for our PKI environment. Your primary goal is to increase the security, functionality and efficiency of our infrastructure while reducing costs and downtime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ongoing engineering and Tier 3 support as an escalation point.
  • Designing and implementing PKI services aligned with business needs.
  • Optimizing performance, monitoring issues, executing upgrades and documenting changes.
  • Ensuring robust testing and integration of PKI solutions with infrastructure and applications.
  • Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for PKI services.
  • Assisting in the development of PKI strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Keeping up-to-date with trends and advancements in IT, especially in PKI.

Qualifications

To be successful, you should be a self-starter with at least 8 years of total IT experience and 4 years advanced experience with PKI. You must be able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), CyberArk Certificate Manager (formerly Venafi), or similar technologies is required.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote role with a flexible working program (FlexBase) allowing work from home, office, or hybrid arrangements based on your location in the advertised country.
