About the Role: Senior Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cloud Networking Products team. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and implement the next generation of cloud computing and create new networking products that enhance the Akamai Connected Cloud. You will be instrumental in enabling customers to secure and isolate their resources and workloads by working on products like Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Firewall, and VLAN. This position is for those passionate about writing production-quality software in the networking domain and making a significant impact on Akamai's growing cloud offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Help build out cloud platform functionality for setting up, managing, and protecting networking within the Akamai Connected Cloud.
• Work on and extend the local Linux container network development environment.
• Design, implement, review, document, and test high-quality code in close collaboration with your team.
• Coordinate closely with local peers and global teams for new feature development and bug resolution.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#, or Go).
• Solid skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex computer software.
• Proven experience in technical design, product specification reviews, and project and backlog planning.
• Ability to work productively and collaboratively with team members to identify and resolve issues.
