About the Role
Do you love leading and motivating successful teams? Join Akamai's API Security Group where the Noname team is redefining web API protection using an innovative eBPF Agent for Linux kernel security. As an API Security Engineering Manager, you will lead senior C++ developers in research engineering and Linux kernel innovations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and strategic leadership in designing and optimizing eBPF-based agents.
- Conduct research on Linux kernel internals, eBPF, and related low-level technologies.
- Write clean and efficient C++ code for systems-level performance-critical programming.
- Represent the agent in discussions and design tailored solutions.
- Define and execute both short-term goals and long-term strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, system architects and product managers.
- Utilize advanced profiling and debugging tools to improve agent efficiency.
- Foster continuous improvement by promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on C++ experience with strong systems programming skills.
- Expertise in Linux kernel technologies including eBPF, XDP, or similar.
- Proven experience in leading and managing software development teams.
- Strong background in modern C++ (STL, performance-critical development, profiling, and debugging).
- Experience in research-driven work, algorithm development, and experimental design.
