Systems Engineer

Ajna Infotech is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract role based in Dallas, TX, Raleigh, NC, or Salt Lake City, UT with a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on building automation and observability for highly available, customer-facing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for reliable, resilient systems.
  • Configure and deploy resilient infrastructure across multiple regions and availability zones.
  • Collaborate with risk, product, and engineering team leaders.
  • Drive design of secure, scalable microservices-based applications in AWS.
  • Offer production support in large distributed systems.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in building automation and observability on heterogeneous systems including Kafka, MQ, Oracle, DB2, Java, Node, and Web applications.
  • Experience automating operational support for mobile, web, and API channels.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, service ownership, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
  • Proficiency in crafting and maintaining logging, monitoring, and alerting with Datadog and Splunk.
