Role Overview: Product Security Engineer
Join Airtable as a Product Security Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the security of our evolving platform. You will partner with product teams to ensure products are secure by design and drive impactful security programs with production-ready code. This role also offers an exciting opportunity to influence application security at scale especially as we expand our AI and LLM-powered offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to review plans, designs, and code for security.
- Lead and implement security programs to enhance application and product security.
- Develop frameworks that help engineers ship secure code.
- Triage and remediate findings from external penetration testers.
- Research emerging security threats, particularly in AI and LLM safety, and educate the engineering team.
- Coordinate with advisors and third-party vendors on penetration tests, security reports, and compliance projects.
- Contribute to roadmaps, metrics, and strategic planning for the product security team.
Who You Are
You have 2+ years of experience in product and application security, with proven skills in building production code. You are adept at conducting detailed security reviews, writing maintainable code, and have hands-on experience in securing AI products. Your communication and collaboration skills allow you to drive security initiatives and convey technical analyses effectively. You are comfortable building security controls and identifying vulnerabilities in systems using technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, Linux, and AWS.
