Support the IT Leadership team in defining and executing the overall Portfolio Management and PMO strategy. Maintain and oversee the IT project portfolio, tracking departmental demands, project progress, risks, dependencies, and overall health. This role is accountable for the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the PPM tool, ensuring it serves as the single source of truth for all project-related data. The Manager will optimize IT resource planning and normalization to ensure the successful execution of application delivery projects with no business impacts. They will proactively work with IT project managers to ensure adherence to defined project management practices, define project health assessment criteria, and conduct regular project audits to assess IT project performance. The role involves preparing PMO reports and dashboards for the IT Leadership team on overall project performance, implementing and optimizing PMO frameworks and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid models), and promoting Agile adoption. The Manager will ensure the standardization of project management processes and templates, provide guidance and support to project managers and the PMO team, maintain project professional training, and promote AI and automation enablement in portfolio and PMO functions. A key responsibility is leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the portfolio and programme management tool to provide senior management with data transparency on departmental portfolio health, project performance, risks, and opportunities.Qualifications and Experience
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or other related disciplines. A Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- At least 8 years of IT experience in large-scale, multi-project environments, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in IT Portfolio Management, PMO transformation, establishment, or governance roles and project/program delivery management using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working with senior business stakeholders and technology leaders in governance, prioritization, and strategic planning.
- Proven track record of driving standardization, process optimization, and organizational change across cross-functional teams.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent are preferred.
- Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, Scrum Master (CSM / PSM), SAFe, or equivalent are preferred.
- Certification or formal training in PMO disciplines is a definite advantage.
- Strong understanding of PPM tools (e.g., Planview, Project Online, Jira/Confluence, ServiceNow, SPM), including project management, testing, and adoption.
