Job Description
Airbus Netherlands B.V. is seeking a Structures Systems Engineer on our Product Engineering Team in Leiden, The Netherlands. In this role, you will lead the development of load carrying aerospace structures for launch vehicles and solar arrays, ensuring reduced mass, cost efficiency, and production/assembly feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical projects from proposal to project execution (phases A, B, and C/D).
- Define and verify requirements, manage work packages, and deliver technical designs and performance calculations.
- Act as a technical interface with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Guide and manage a multidisciplinary team of technical specialists and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Lead finite element modeling and analysis using tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, HyperSizer, and ESACRACK.
Profile:
- Masters in Engineering with a focus on aerospace or mechanical structural analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer in aerospace/space sector.
- Strong analytical skills in mechanical strength, stability, and stiffness.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills in English.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
