Job Description: CyberSecurity Bid Manager
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a CyberSecurity Bid Manager to join Airbus Cybersecurity SAS, based in Elancourt (78), Rennes (35), or Toulouse (31). You will be an integral part of the "Airbus DS Cyber Programmes" business unit, reporting directly to the Head Of Bids & Programmes.
Founded in 2012 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus Defence & Space, Airbus DS Cyber Programmes specializes in designing, developing, and supporting cybersecurity solutions. These solutions serve information systems and platforms for governments, critical infrastructure operators, and international institutions. The unit is dedicated to providing defense actors with solutions for cyberspace operations and securing systems against evolving cyber threats.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of bids for Airbus DS Cyber Programmes clients, including defense entities, European institutions, and other international clients.
Mandatory Requirements:
This position necessitates a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities. You must be a French citizen and meet the security clearance requirements as per IGI 1300 of August 9, 2021 (1.2.2.1).
Key Challenges:
- Defining a winning bid strategy with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strong differentiators against competitors.
- Overseeing the entire bid management lifecycle, from initial opportunity qualification through to contract negotiation.
- Developing a comprehensive bid plan and crafting compelling, competitive offers.
- Leading, motivating, and coordinating multiple functional teams and contributors to ensure successful bid production and delivery.
- Driving the development of all aspects of the bid proposal, including technical offers, cost estimates, risk assessments, pricing, commercial offers, compliance matrices, and delivery schedules.
- Writing, editing, and meticulously reviewing proposal content.
- Ensuring full bid compliance and responsiveness to client requirements.
- Actively developing and securing new business opportunities.
Occasional business trips within France and abroad are expected.
Candidate Profile:
- Holder of an Engineering degree or Master's degree in a technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing and successfully delivering large, complex bids (several million euros).
- Demonstrated experience within the defense sector, working with entities such as NATO, the European Defence Agency, or the Ministry of Defence.
- A professional bid management certification (e.g., Shipley, APMP) is highly advantageous.
- Strong ability to effectively engage with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Solid background in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
- Proven capability to actively listen to customer needs and support them in securing new contracts.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and synthesis skills.
- Negotiation-level proficiency in both English and French.
