Airbus Netherlands B.V. is actively seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our IT department in Leiden, The Netherlands. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable education and/or experience across all facets of the Cyber Security landscape. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both the strategic aspects of risk analysis and compliance, as well as the deep technical challenges inherent in the job.

You will work closely with system administrators and report to the Head of Services, who also serves as the Security Officer. Your Key Challenges and Tasks:

• Provide essential input for the annual security improvement plan, driving continuous enhancement.
• Continuously identify and rigorously assess all assets requiring protection within our infrastructure.
• Perform comprehensive security risk analyses and assessments of these assets, meticulously evaluating potential risks and formulating effective solutions and countermeasures.
• Define clear project plans for the implementation of these solutions and countermeasures, including detailed security specifications and judicious supplier selection.
• Proactively monitor implemented solutions to guarantee ongoing security and promptly identify new vulnerabilities.
• Assess the cyber security maturity across governance, protection, prevention, and detection domains, defining actionable steps for improvement.
• Signal and thoroughly analyze potential security risks, providing critical insights into their impact and designing robust measures to mitigate or reduce these risks.
• Act as an integral part of the incident response team, managing security incidents efficiently and effectively.
• Continuously update your knowledge with the latest cyber security trends and technologies, translating these advancements into applicable solutions for the organization.

Profile of Our Ideal Candidate:

• Proficiency in network security principles, operating systems, and a range of security tools.
• Possession of strong ethical principles and an unwavering commitment to confidentiality.
• A proactive willingness to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Familiarity and/or experience with established security standards and relevant regulations.
• Demonstrable education at a bachelor’s or academic level, and/or proven experience in all aspects of the Cyber Security landscape.
• 1-2 years of working experience in implementing, monitoring, risk analysis, or other cyber security related activities.
• Residency in the Netherlands is a mandatory requirement.
• Successful completion of a VOG (Certificate of Conduct) and background screening to obtain security clearance is an essential part of the procedure.
