SATCOM Operations Architect (f/m)
Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a SATCOM Operations Architect (f/m) to join our "Integrated Product Support Architecture and Operational Readiness" department based in Elancourt, France. You will become part of a dynamic team focused on the means required for the operation and maintenance of complex, secure SATCOM systems for European and international clients in the civil and/or defense sectors.
Leveraging your expertise in operations and maintenance, you will provide complementary technical support to Architect and System/Sub-system Engineer teams. Your contribution will be vital in delivering optimized end-to-end solutions that precisely meet the needs of our clients' ground segment operators and maintenance personnel.
You will support support architects in defining and implementing training and maintenance platform tools and requirements (specification, implementation, operational readiness preparation).
Occasional business trips within France and Europe are expected, and you must be available for such travel.

Your Challenges:
- Assist technical teams in operations and support preparation.
- Specify system and tool requirements.
- Act as a Work Package Manager for assigned scope, ensuring cost, deadline, and quality objectives are met.
- Contribute expertise to bid and/or execution phase projects.
- Raise team awareness on the importance of considering operations and maintenance needs during the design phase.
Your Profile:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in Telecommunications.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Significant experience with SATCOM ground segment management tools (civil/military) or in designing/providing ground/space segment tools.
- Work package management experience.
- Knowledge of System Architecture engineering.
- Familiarity with ground and/or space segment operations and maintenance tools (specifications, functions, processes).
- Knowledge of SATCOM engineering.
- Autonomy, rigor, and methodical approach.
- Leadership in complex technical and industrial environments.
- Team player with strong communication, persuasion, and problem-solving skills.
- Perseverance, endurance, curiosity for related fields, and technical synthesis ability.
- Interest in the application of AI.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French / Advanced English level.
This position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
The candidate must possess French nationality, in accordance with IGI 1300 of 30/11/2011 (Article 65).
