About the role

About the Role

A position for a Data Integration Specialist has just arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in the Data Integration transversal department. The successful candidate will join the TDDT team. As a Data Integration Specialist, you will take responsibility for the design, implementation, and deployment of data integration pipelines between multiple data sources including Business Systems, Engineering Systems, Machines, Drones, etc., using our transversal and transnational Integration Platforms/Products. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of experts using classical and agile project management methodologies. Depending on the projects, you will have end-to-end accountability for solution implementation and provide necessary inputs to colleagues to ensure best-in-class service post-deployment. You will make data fly inside Airbus Defence & Space and also to and from external partners, customers, or governments!

Main Tasks

  • Responsible for integration activities, including design, implementation, and deployment, within data integration products to fulfill requests from Digital projects.
  • Define integration tasks associated with new development for new Use Cases or needs raised by the associated Product Owner.
  • Responsible for UATs and Deployment activities associated with new data integrations in close alignment with the Operation Manager of the associated data integration product.
  • Support Data Integration Platform performance analysis to guarantee existing SLAs.

  • Information Flows up-to-date with new data flows developed and deployed.
  • Data Integration Platform SLR up-to-date.
  • Configuration Management documentation.
  • UATs deliverables in alignment with the Project Manager.
  • Deployment plan and associated acceptance criteria.
  • Data Transport technologies metrics.
  • Technical advice on architecture and integrations related to project tasks within their perimeter or responsibility.

Skills & Competencies

  • University degree in an IT-related field.
  • English and French negotiation level.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Over 5 years of relevant work experience as a Data Integration Engineer.
  • Over years of hands-on experience in building ESB and/or ETL/ELT solutions/integrations for large-scale data pipelines (on-premises).
  • Experience in handling data from various sources like CSV, JSON, XML, relational databases, and so on.
  • Deep experience in programming languages related to data integration (Python, Flask, Node, JavaScript, Express...).
  • Experience in developing technical and support documentation, translating business requirements and needs into reporting and models.
  • Proficiency in querying and managing both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • API-based services technologies experience would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methods and tools (some experience would be a plus).
  • IT project management knowledge.
  • Basic experience in IT Service Management principles.
  • Basic knowledge about Data Analytics.
  • Agile methodologies.
