Junior Data Scientist Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Airbus Aircraft

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Junior Data Scientist Artificial Intelligence Engineer for Systems to join the Artificial Intelligence for Systems Team (ARTIST) in Toulouse, France. This role is within the Data Management & AI team, part of the Data-Driven Services & Aircraft Maintenance Community. The primary focus is on developing AI/Data Science solutions that deliver clear added-value for the aircraft system design community, with an initial assignment centered on embedded aircraft systems for computer vision applications in the Cockpit.

Your Challenges

• Design algorithms and data solutions for digital services and aircraft systems with experienced data scientists, focusing on embedded systems for computer vision (Cockpit).
• Develop innovative data-driven services in collaboration with experienced engineers, concentrating on value creation and specific business needs.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Programs, R&T, Engineering, and IT.
• Contribute to the vision and strategy for AI-based solutions and improvements for Aircraft Systems, Services, and Ways of Working.

Your Boarding Pass

• Master's degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent.
• Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms and tools related to supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in development environments and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, Linux Shell Scripting, and NoSQL databases.
• Negotiation level in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.

The following experience and competencies would be a plus:

• Initial work experience in Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning & Deep Learning methods, preferably around computer vision.
• Experience in industrialization and implementation of solutions in a production environment.
• Knowledge and experience in computer vision applications (significant plus).
