About the role

Cabin Design Engineer

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cabin Design Engineer (f/m) to join our STC* Solutions Programme / Customer Services department based in Toulouse, France.

We provide certified Airbus STC cabin and cabin systems upgrade and modification solutions (Service bulletins and kits) to airlines and lessors for the modification of their in-service aircraft, through our dedicated teams, processes, suppliers, and resources (dedicated logistics center).

Within the scope of cabin upgrade and modification projects, you will be responsible for the production and/or validation of all deliverables required for the cabin modification.

Depending on the project scope and operational demands, you may also be involved in complementary activities such as equipment development monitoring, small-scale retrofit project management, kit management, and/or management of external stakeholders involved in the projects (subcontractors, customers, MROs, manufacturers...).

Your challenges:

Integrated into multidisciplinary teams working on cabin systems improvement projects across various programs, you will be responsible for the following missions:

  • Participate in the technical definition of the specifications.
  • Analyze the pre-modification A/C configuration.
  • Produce or manage the production of the modification definition file (certification layout, TRS, 3D/2D study, production of the set of plans and associated bill of materials, kit definition) according to time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Support the justification of the modification in accordance with CS25 standard and AIRBUS standard quality system.
  • Produce or manage the production of the service bulletin associated with the modification.
  • Respond to and/or validate unintentional deviations from production (concession) or installation (defect report, technical adaptation) from a technical standpoint.
  • Respond to technical requests from services.

Required Skills:
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
  • General knowledge of Airbus aircraft.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency and experience in cabin integration and cabin retrofit activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in cabin element design.
  • Knowledge of Airbus methods and tools (CATIA V5, AIRINA - configuration management tools: TAKSY, GILDA, PASS SSI - Maintenance tools: AIRNAV X).
  • Knowledge of general regulatory requirements - CS25.
  • Knowledge in configuration management.
  • Basic knowledge of technical project management.
