Airbnb, a global leader in unique stays and experiences, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer Slack to serve as the bridge between existing tooling and future innovation within the Slack ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize Slack integrations, workflows, and apps.
  • Create custom scripts and leverage third-party tools for data transfer.
  • Review and enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and document outcomes.
  • Conduct regular assessments ensuring compliance with security and governance.
  • Lead migrations from on-premise tools to modern cloud solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote continuous learning.
  • Stay updated with industry trends in Slack, cloud technologies, and security.

Your Expertise

You will bring over 5 years of experience in enterprise cloud environments, with a deep focus on migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms. A minimum of 3 years managing Slack from integrations to custom workflows is required. Your coding skills include JSON, REST APIs, Java, Groovy, and Python. Familiarity with integration platforms like Mulesoft or Tray.io is a plus, along with knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, and more.

Work Location

This role is US Remote Eligible. Candidates must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Occasional office work or offsite attendance may be required as per managerial agreement.
