The Community You Will Join

The Public Policy team works to further the interests of our host and guest communities through government and stakeholder engagement. This includes navigating political and legal contexts and advocating for progressive home sharing rules.

The Role

The Senior Public Policy Manager Iberia supports campaigns across the region with a focus on Spain. You will work closely with the Iberia Campaign Lead, defining policy strategies, developing partnerships, and representing Airbnb in discussions with politicians, regulators and local administrative bodies.

  • Develop and advise on political strategies and policy positions.
  • Build networks with government and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Represent Airbnb in meetings, coalition engagements, and policy negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in legal, communications, and more.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative changes affecting the region.

Your Expertise

Applicants should have at least ten years of experience in political or regulatory issues, preferably in travel, housing, or technology. Deep understanding of the Iberia political landscape, excellent networking skills, strong analytical capabilities, and superb communication skills are essential. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with Portuguese and Catalan being advantages.

Daily Responsibilities

Work on strategic planning with the Iberia Campaign Lead, identify and pursue partnership opportunities, advise on public policy impacting product and service development, and manage external consultant relationships. Frequent travel within Spain, Portugal, Europe, and to San Francisco is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive base pay within the range of €90,000 to €110,000 EUR, along with potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
