The Community You Will Join
You will join the Client Products & Emerging Technology (CP&ET) team, a global, cross-functional group dedicated to building foundational frameworks and innovative, app-wide features. This role collaborates across teams including Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to deliver impactful solutions.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer App Foundation, you will use your expertise in both backend and frontend development to build foundational frameworks and drive innovation. Your work will integrate seamlessly across the Airbnb ecosystem, helping to deploy rapid feature rollouts and high-quality products.
A Typical Day
- Collaborate with engineers across frontend, backend, native, and infrastructure platforms.
- Partner with Design, Product, and Data Science to define outcomes.
- Implement robust architectural patterns focusing on APIs, data pipelines, and algorithms.
- Develop scalable frameworks and product features used by millions.
- Evaluate technical solutions and participate in design discussions.
- Drive project alignment and conduct code reviews while upholding high standards.
Your Expertise
- 5+ years in professional software development.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular and frontend architecture.
- Deep expertise in backend/server languages like Java, Kotlin, or C++.
- Experience in designing and scaling high-quality, high-traffic backend services.
- Proven track record in delivering end-to-end impactful products.
- Strong testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
Your Location
This position is based in China with remote eligibility. Occasional office or offsite attendance may be required based on internal policies.
