Overview
Airbnb, a global leader in hospitality and unique experiences, is seeking a Principal, SOX Compliance. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining the compliance program for Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
The Difference You Will Make
You will lead the design, testing, and evaluation of SOX controls, provide guidance to key process owners, and work closely with internal teams and external auditors in the Global Risk Financial Risk & Controls group.
A Typical Day
- Lead annual scoping and risk assessments.
- Partner with SOX leadership on testing plans.
- Conduct design and operating effectiveness testing.
- Guide internal and external testing teams.
- Support control deficiencies remediation and quarterly certifications.
Your Expertise
Bring a background in Accounting, Finance, or MIS with at least 9 years experience, deep knowledge of SOX, COSO, and PCAOB requirements, and a strong understanding of platform technologies. You will be a role model for Airbnb's core values and work collaboratively across the organization.
Location & Work Arrangement
This position is US - Remote Eligible. While predominantly remote, occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsite attendance may be required. Applicants must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay adjusts based on experience and market factors, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and additional benefits.
