Role Overview: Data Science Algorithms Customer Support
As a Data Scientist working on Algorithms in Customer Support, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and operations agents. You will build scalable, robust systems to address critical challenges by leveraging ML and LLM expertise.
- Develop ML/LLM models for prioritizing customer issues.
- Leverage generative AI to analyze customer experiences.
- Automate evaluation of LLM for high efficiency.
A Typical Day
You will identify high-impact business opportunities through data exploration, collaborate with cross-functional teams, productionize models for both batch and real-time use, and build performance measurement systems for LLM evaluation.
Your Expertise
- 2+ years of industry experience with an advanced degree.
- Strong fluency in Python, SQL, Tensorflow, PyTorch, and Airflow.
- Deep understanding of ML lifecycle and algorithms including neural networks and optimization.
- Proficiency with LLMs and related AI/NLP models.
- Effective communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
Your Location
This position is US - Remote Eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsites may be required. Applicants must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive base pay with additional eligibility for bonus, equity, and benefits. The pay range is approximately $148,000 to $174,000 USD.
